Baked Beef Jerky Dip

Jerky dip photo.jpg

Here’s a warm and decadent appetizer you won’t forget! Perfect for family holiday get togethers and Superbowl alike. This year I am going to prepare this ahead to serve in individual/family cast irons at our annual Christmas tree cutting event, roasted on an open fire!

Ingredients:

½ cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt for a lighter version)

8 oz package of cream cheese

1 small minced bell pepper

¼ cup chopped onion

1 small garlic clove chopped

5-6 pieces of Burke Creek Grass fed jerky chopped fine

Dill or Thyme

½ cup Toasted chopped pecans or walnuts*

  Directions:

Mix all ingredients and bake 15-30 minutes at 350 degrees.  Top with chopped nuts.

*Pictured above is a nut free version with chopped pumpkin seeds.

You can modify the flavours above, In the version above I omitted garlic and onion and used cracked pepper, grainy mustard and fresh thyme. Spice it up with cayenne, hot sauce or chopped chili or jalapeños.
